What's the difference between Microblading and Nano Brows?
Ever since I started offering Nano Brows as a service in October of 2021, I get asked this question. The permanent makeup world is always evolving with new techniques coming out every year. As someone who is an avid learner, my goal is to always educate myself on ways I can improve my services and the longevity and satisfaction of each process.
Microblading is great for dry to normal skin types and those who live typically healthy lives. It is done with a tiny blade and a hand tool to create realistic hair-like strokes. This semi-permanent tattoo will last 2-3 years with good maintenance and aftercare. During our phone consultation, I will ask you a series of in depth questions about your lifestyle (whether you work out and sweat) , how much or how little makeup you wear daily, your skin type, hair and eye color as well as your expectations of the service. This will help me determine if you are a good candidate for Microblading.
Nano Brows are great for those with oily skin, mature skin or otherwise compromised skin due to health issues such as autoimmune, post-cancer treatments, and thyroid. This service is done with a single needle cartridge and a tattoo machine to create realistic, hair-like strokes and powder-like fill. This semi-permanent tattoo will last 3-5 years with good maintenance and aftercare. During our phone consultation, I will ask you a series of in-depth questions (see Microblading above) to help me determine if you are a good candidate for Nano Brows.
